Internet Research Exercise A long time ago I posted this exercise on my website for my students. Maybe you'd like to give it a try! Introduction During your professional career, you will need to find answers to a variety of questions. You will need to obtain information about many different subjects. In fact, you will be surprised and say to yourself, “I never thought I would be researching this!” The world’s information is right in front of you, available through any computer with an Internet connection. The question is – are you skillful at finding new information on the web? How to play: 1. It doesn’t matter if you already know the answer – the point is to prove you can find the correct answer on the Internet. 2. You may want to copy and paste this exercise into a document, so you can type in your answers. 3. Speed matters. Practice self-discipline, and don’t get sidetracked reading the entire web page when you find the answer. Focus on accomplishing your mission. Start the timer! Begin! Assignment # 1: How many Euros is a US dollar worth today? Assignment # 2: Right now, what is the time and date in Sydney, Australia?
